MacBook Air name changed automatically after installing 10.10.4. What to do?

My MacBook Air name was changed automatically after installing 10.10.4. I'm not sure what to do. Will it effect backups? Is it the laptop that changed name? Or the iMac? they give no explanation. What to do?

MacBook Air (13-inch Mid 2013), OS X Mavericks (10.9.3)

Change it back to what you were using. You do that in Sharing preferences panel at the top where it shows the Computer Name.
